Chrome vs Internet Explorer

After long last Google Chrome has taken the lead in the most popular web browser race. This is Googles first full week to hold a steady lead. We've seen Chrome hit the top of the charts for a day but never for an entire week!

As of May 20th, these are our top browsers (these stats come from the new data from StatCounter, via TheNextWeb):

  1. In first, Google Chrome at nearly 32.8%
  2. Sitting at 2nd, Internet Explorer (the once reigning champion) at 31.9%
  3. And finally, Mozilla Firefox with 25%

This is huge for the developer world. Google Chrome has an automatic update feature that runs in the background whenever the application is opened. This means the user never has to worry about whether or not their browser is up to date and that they can expect every website to appear as it was intended. Google Chrome can change and adapt as quickly as the web world.

It's nice to see that the old school IE numbers are starting to fade. I, for years used IE exclusively until a firend showed me Firefox (I am a fan of open source) and then to Google Chrome because I simply love all the google products. I can't wait to see what these browsers will do next!
